Can dogs feel the same emotions as a human?

Today's world opened up a whole new category of how dogs feel and react. There are so many things dogs are capable of doing, not everyone knew about. Dogs always had jobs and purpose. Today we are starting to see a dogs real emotion. Can a dog be angry? Yes, or course. You might notice if you take a dog favorite toy away the dog might give you a side eye. That side eye is expressing why are you taking my toy away I was enjoying the moment. Dogs have toys that bring comfort. Golden retrievers love to carry their toys around with them not just because they enjoy playing, but because the natural instinct of a golden retriever is to retrieve. If you ever closely watch a dog retrieve a ball or a toy. The dog is not only excited to play, but to please the owner. Dogs like for you to be proud of them. The praise you can give a dog when they bring the ball back or a toy.

What emotion are we experiencing while playing catch? Joy. Lets thinking about childhood for a minute when you know the next day is the weekend and you made plans with friends or family. Your excited about the day because you know your going to hang out with friends to play baseball, ride bikes, play board games. Think of a joyful moment in your life that you wished could last forever. Now lets look at a dogs perspective. They are excited everyday just to get up and see you. Wondering what adventure you are going to do that day. They are living in the moment. Dogs are very vocal they will bring a toy when they want to play or might nudge you for a hug. Dog are very easy to read if you take a set back and watch their behavior.

Do dogs get sad? Yes, or course. You might see a dog go lay down and they look like they are pouting. They might of broke their favorite toy, they might be waiting to play but their owner is busy. But they also feel the emotions you are feeling. Dogs are extremely alert when it comes to our emotions. Their capability in reading emotions is fascinating. Dogs are know for comforting owners through tough days. You might get the paw on your hand, a cuddle or sharing their toy. They are trying to make you feel better.

Can a dog be afraid? Yes, even though dogs are notated for living in the moment. They have triggers just like humans. Often times in life people go through experiences and seeing or hearing something could trigger an emotions. It can happen with good memories. You even smell food cooking and it triggers a memory or something displayed in your house that remind you of a happy time in your life. I'm going to use slippery floors. Many dogs are very unsure with floors that are slippery. You will see them touch their paw down. Almost as if the floor is not their and they are testing to see if they will fall through. That unsure feeling and fear combined into one. Your telling them it's ok, but their is a memory that is triggered because their might of been a time they flew across the floor and was scared. What are you suppose to do in this situation. Distract the brain. If your holding your dogs favorite food five feet away the sense of smell will override the fear.

Can a dog love? Yes, a dog is very affectionate and is very loyal to their owner. Dogs can have an extremely strong bond with a child. Dogs are constantly showing their love by the gestures they do. Have you ever gave a dog a treat and they are so thankful they lick your face. They see you and get so excited. This is your dog expressing their emotions or love and excitement. I always say that to a dog you are their whole world.

Our question today is if dogs have emotions like humans? Yes they get excited to go places, they look forward to things throughout the day. Dogs get excited when you tell them they are going to their grandparents house, out for a walk. They are experiencing life through your eyes. While you are creating an everlasting bond.
